surprise!

so, earlier (the Santa post) I mentioned that I had a surprise - and here it is!

YES - Zoey got her ears pierced today! I've been meaning to get them
done for quite a while, but as most things I hadn't gotten around to
it. Then I had a change of heart for a while, we've talked about
Zoey's adorable ears and how they, well, like to be seen!
So, for a while I was worried that she would not appreciate my decision
to pierce her ears ... then I noticed that my ears are the same!
I knew I had weird ears, but how did I never notice that
they totally stick out? I only recently came to the conclusion that
maybe I should stop wearing earrings (thus, drawing
less attention to the funky ears) - so I figure, if Zoey comes to the
same conclusion she can do what I've done: take the earrings out!!!
That said, I decided I better get on it and get them done
before she was old enough to: a) remember and b) play with them!
(*Annicka's were pierced when she was two months old and
she never touched/messed with them - ever!)
As you know, we were at the mall today - to see Santa - so, there
ya go ... perfect opportunity! It dawned on me that I was
going there and I began thinking today should maybe
be the day - and so it was!
She did cry - HARD!
It only lasted a couple minutes, though, and I think
she looks absolutely adorable with her little earrings!!!

I also wanted to mention that the shirt/bow she's wearing were made by my
good friend (she's on facebook: Traci Nichole Designs) - I completely
love this little Christmas tree shirt!!! (which is why I added
the pic below - to show it better) I know it's too late to order holiday
items, but you should check out her other stuff - it's super cute!!!
