it's almost hard to believe it's been an entire year since that day ... the day of Zoey's big surgery. the surgery we knew for a long time (before she was born) that she'd have to have. the surgery we knew had to happen and both couldn't wait to get it done and also wished it didn't have to be. it was a hard day, for sure, but a blessed one as well. check out these posts from last year for a full re-cap:

today I'm thanking God for all He has given us. I'm so thankful that we have medical insurance. I'm so thankful we live where we do - where we have so many freedoms. and I'm so very thankful for our sweet little Zoey and that her heart is all better today!
