Wednesday was the big day! We finally got an E.T.A. and were set to get to the hospital at 11am (the E.T.A. was 11:30am) ... good thing we were on time, cause they were already there and getting her ready to go! They had her little ear muffs already on her - she looked so cute! It felt like everyone was there - Zoey's doctors (two of the four were there in the nursery) and many nurses ... did I mention how much I already miss them all??? We had to sign papers and such and they got Zoey into the transport isolette and got her all hooked up and ready ... then it was out to helicopter we went! We couldn't go all the way, so we watched them walk her across the street and up to the helicopter ... then we watched and waited for them to all get in and settled and the helicopter to get going and then finally, it began to rise up and I watched it fly away with my little baby girl! It was another breath taking moment and I did shed a tear or two ... you just can't know how it feels to see a helicopter and know your baby is in it until you've experienced it - WOW! Gary and I had to head back to the house to finish packing up the vehicles and everything, it ended up taking a couple hours and then finally we were on the road to Los Angeles to meet up with our little sweetheart!
I can't imagine how horribly hard that was to watch your baby out of your control. But thank goodness we know the ONE who is in control. And He has everything planned out to a T.
