UCLA ...

I forgot to mention, all these recent pics are from my "crappy" camera - lol! It's small and easy to carry around AND does video, so I've resorted to it for a day to day camera ... some of these pics, though, are also thanks to my wonderful friend who is currently here with me! These are from yesterday, Zoey's first full day here! They've already made changes - the first was to do the lasix twice a day, then they started her on a medication for blood pressure (lowering her blood pressure, to help make it easier for the blood to go where it should - essentially), and today they also have to give her sodium chloride (her sodium is low again). We met a cardiologist yesterday and were told to figure on being here two to four weeks ... basically two if they get things under control via medicine (then we'd be bringing her home on medication) and four if she ends up having any surgery! Today her nurse practitioner mentioned surgery at two months (the cardiologist said they like them to be over a month, but preferably two to four months) ... meaning coming home on the meds for just a short time to grow a bit ... but at this point, it's still too early to say how it will end up! Zoey has made improvement already, though - as she's "nipple-ing" much more now (which means, eating from the bottle)! As of 6pm, when I fed her, that was her third feeding in a row to finish from the bottle (no tube!) and the 9am she only was tubed a fourth of her feeding! She does have a hyper sensitive gag reflex - and it freaks me out as sometimes it takes her a "minute" to recoup and it's just scary to me, but apparently it's all ok (still freaks me out) - so please be in prayer about that! Thanks again to all - God bless
