fishing for mercy ...

oh - our Annicka, she's a clever one ... well, they're all clever - but this night I took photographic "note" of her cleverness!  it was "friend friday", as I've termed it, the night our bestest Cali buds come over with their two kiddos!  we take turns doing dinner, each week alternating and occasionally sharing/doing it jointly!  the grown ups have a great time, the kids have a great time, we all look forward to it.

so, Annicka was grounded to her room this night ... most likely for her attitude.  anyway, a little bit into the evening daddy noticed this note dangling from the staircase!  you can see what his answer was, but if I remember correctly she did get to come down later. 

we all got a good laugh out of her ingenuity and plea for mercy!

April random round-up!

ok, so she does sometimes throw them on the floor, but hey she is only two!

baseball begins!

our opening ceremonies & 1st game for baseball this year!  we all went, even daddy, and I -of course- took a few pics!  it ended up being real cold with the wind - so to keep Zoey's little legs warm daddy gave her his socks - lol!  it was a great 1st game and bubba enjoyed it ... and we enjoyed watching and supporting him!  now the season is coming to an end, I'm real proud of his progress ... he is both throwing and hitting much better!  he is to the point that I think he's gotten a little bored, or something, cause he's been less enthusiastic ... but it's provided great opportunities for talking about being part of a team and being dependable and all that!  we'll see if he will continue to want to do baseball in the future ... for now, I'm enjoying it - it's pretty fun!

this was a special day, as you may remember me posting, we were celebrating

two years of good healthy and healing from Zoey's open heart surgery!

Zoey's new "do"!!!

 no - not a hair cut! 

that was going to be this summer -her first hair cut- but with our

Oregon trip off, so is her hair cut (cause we're waiting, so Yaya can cut it)!

but last month I pulled Zoey's hair back one day, just to get it out

of her face ... and I ended up totally loving the style!

she left the clip in too - which is something that really varies with her!

often as soon as I put something in her hair, she'll take it straight

out ... but lately she's done a little bit better!  in fact, the other day she

left her bow in for hours - I was astonished!

anyway, I've been pulling her hair back like this fairly often ...

and I took pics around that first time, cause I loved it so much!

we're waiting on those "bangs" hairs to grow longer and not be in her face 

all the time ... so she gets lots of pony-tails to get those up!

but this is her "elegant" look - lol!

 I think this day she took the clip out - and got mad cause I put it back in!

yes!  I actually got Liam to lay in the grass -and stay for a couple minutes- and let

me take some pics of him!  my little Liam, oh so adorable!!!

these are the pics I took of some of the lovely bits of nature we observed while out on our stroll ... I'm trying to take more photos that I could potentially use as "art" for my walls, so this is a start!
